Hello team,

I was originally involved in translating Nabble system texts into German language. Since that time, I created a couple of still running Nabble forums, now always trying my best to administer them (it gets difficult at times due to the documentation state and free support availability, though). Some months ago I had a short conversation with Hugo about some topics concerning the Nabble platform and I got introduced to a new platform based on LUA coming soon. I guess, "Blasma" is this new platform.

By accident I found this site and now I am hoping that the development of Blasma would be "open" enough for me as a non-native-nabble-developer to somehow contribute.

Would it be possible for the Blasma team to provide a "welcome" message in order to explain:

- what Blasma intends to be,
- what the main changes would be (compared to Nabble)
- how visitors/people are expected to get involved here
- ... ?

I mean, e.g. can ANYBODY suggest features here or is it intended to be a "hidden" place for the core developers to discuss things?

I could imagine my contributions in these fields:

- documentation of existing source code structure
- development of core features and extension modules
- ...

Would this be possible? What are your plans?

Regards.

I can just answer here in this thread.  If I make a welcome message, then I will need to maintain that as things change.  Write now I would rather just code.

Blasma intends to be a simpler and more open forum platform than Nabble.  Most of Blasma will be open source which means anyone can contribute modules, but I will review and approve them.  I have no idea how many people will get involved, but at least users can't complain about missing features since they can add them themselves.

There is no hidden place for core developers.  This is meant to be an open project.  Anyone can suggest features here, but right now we are working on the core, so feature requests will wait.

We should make this open source within a few weeks, so then anyone who is interested can get involved.
